Info about hotel options:
We initially reserved rooms at the Hyatt Place, Downtown Minneapolis.
Our block at the Hyatt Place in Minneapolis is now full, but you can still book a discounted room individually as a “UMN Visitor” as long as there are rooms at that rate. The hotel is a 15 minute bus or light-rail ride from the convergence locations. To book, call the 888-492-8847 line and mention that you are visiting the University of Minnesota, or  book online using the UMN visitor discount code 75676.
There is ample free parking at the convergence site for folks who are driving to the convergence, but we do not recommend renting a car if you’re staying at the hotel, as parking there is expensive, and public transit and taxis are plentiful downtown.
If these rooms are no longer available, that folks can try one of these places which offer discounts to UMN visitors: https://admissions.tc.umn.edu/visit/hotel.html
Another option (works out to about the same as the hotel if folks share the latter) is the Minneapolis International Hostel: http://minneapolishostel.com/
